Welcome!

Register today for 2019 Winter/spring classes!

Kaiwa Art and Play Space is excited to offer classes that spark children's creative inquiry into a broad range of artistic materials and topics, learn skills spanning the arts, humanities, sciences, and technology, and engage students' curiosity about challenges and opportunities facing our world.  Children will be inspired to develop and grow a personal creative process through fun and challenging prompts, exposure to the uses of various materials, discussion of history, science, and technology, and freedom to experiment.  Art is an essential part of the human experience and brings joy and wonder into our lives.  Art surprises us, asks us questions, and highlights our shared experiences alongside our differences, encouraging empathy and understanding among people.  Through a fun and emergent curriculum, students will strengthen problem solving skills, critical thinking, emotional literacy, experimentation and mastery with materials, and collaboration with peers.

Classes are 1.5, 2, or 3 hours.  Pricing and scheduling is different for different classes.  See schedule below for details!

1.5 hour class options:

For a single drop-in session, the price is $30.  +($5 materials fee)

For a 5 class punch card, the price is $125 or $25/session.  +($25 materials fee)

For a 10 class punch card, the price is $225 or $22.50/session.  +($50 materials fee)

There is also a sibling discount - 20% off each additional sibling.

To reserve your space in any of Kaiwa's classes, email info@kaiwaspace.org!

Students are encouraged to attend for the whole season to grow their personal creative practice alongside their peers!  As for all Kaiwa's programming, the age range is a suggestion and Kaiwa is very flexible in this regard.
